METHODS FOR PAIN TREATMENT USING RESINIFERATOXIN

Abstract:

Methods for treating pain using resiniferatoxin. The resiniferatoxin may be administered to certain anatomic sites using image-guided delivery. The resiniferatoxin may be administered in low doses in the range of 0.5 to 3.0 .mu.g of resiniferatoxin in a human patient. The resiniferatoxin may cause the partial or total ablation of nerve afferents associated with the pain response.
