Abstract:

A compound of Formula I ##STR00001## is disclosed. In the structure of Formula I, ring A and ring B are 5- or 6-membered rings; L.sup.1, L.sup.2, L.sup.3, and Z are each linking groups; a, b, and c are each 0 or 1, and a+b+c=2 or 3; K.sup.1, K.sup.2, K.sup.3, and K.sup.4 are each a direct bond, O, or S; Z.sup.1 to Z.sup.6 and X.sup.1 to X.sup.5 are each C or N; W is a linking group comprising 3 to 5 linking atoms, which can be further substituted; M is Pd or Pt; each R.sup.A, R.sup.B, R.sup.C, R.sup.D, R.sup.E, R, and R' is selected from H or a variety of substituents, and can be joined to another substituent for form a ring. Organic light emitting devices, consumer products, formulations, and chemical structures containing the compounds are also disclosed.
