Abstract:

A compound of the following Formula I ##STR00001## is provided. In Formula I, A is C, B, Si, Ge, or Sn; each of X.sup.1 to X.sup.22 is independently C or N; Z.sup.1 and Z.sup.2 are each independently B or N; when A is B, one of X.sup.4, X.sup.5, X.sup.12, and X.sup.22 is N, and the remainder are C; when A is C, at least one of Z.sup.1 and Z.sup.2 is B; each of Y.sup.1, Y.sup.2, Y.sup.3, and Y.sup.4 is independently O, S, Se, NR, CRR', SiRR', GeRR', and SnRR'; one of both of Y.sup.1 and Y.sup.2 are present; one of both of Y.sup.3 and Y.sup.4 are present; each R, R', R.sup.A, R.sup.B, R.sup.C, R.sup.D, R.sup.E, and R.sup.F is independently hydrogen or a variety of substituents; and any two adjacent R, R', R.sup.A, R.sup.B, R.sup.C, R.sup.D, R.sup.E, and R.sup.F can be joined or fused to form a ring. Devices, consumer products, and formulations including the compound are also disclosed.
