Abstract:

Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for a processor health monitoring and failover and failback system. An embodiment operates by detecting a failure event that indicates a reduced functionality of a primary processor, wherein the primary processor is configured to process incoming messages, and identifying a failure timestamp. An activation request, including the failure timestamp, is transmitted to a replica processor that is configured to process the incoming messages beginning with an incoming message corresponding to or later than the failure timestamp. A recovery event that indicates an increased functionality of the primary processor is detected, and a corresponding recovery timestamp is identified. A deactivation request, including the recovery timestamp, is transmitted to the replica server, wherein the primary processor is configured to process the incoming messages beginning with an incoming message corresponding to or later than the recovery timestamp.
