Silica abrasives with high stannous fluoride compatibility

Abstract:

This invention relates to dentifrice compositions comprising stannous fluoride and a silica abrasive having a N.sub.2 BET surface area of less than 50 m.sup.2/g and an Einlehner hardness of from 4 to 11, as well as to methods of using these compositions.
