Intermediates to prepare pyridazinone herbicides, and a process to prepare them

Abstract:

Disclosed is a process for preparing a compound of Formula 1, ##STR00001## from a compound of Formula 2 wherein X, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, n, R.sup.6, R.sup.7, G and W are as defined in the disclosure. Also disclosed are compounds of Formulae 2 and 4 ##STR00002## wherein X, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, n, R.sup.6, R.sup.7, G and W are as defined in the disclosure. Also disclosed is a process for preparing the compounds of Formulae 2 and 4.
