GAS TURBINE ENGINE WASH SYSTEM

Abstract:

A water wash system (10) for a gas turbine engine includes a pump (50) configured to receive a flow of wash liquid and pressurize the flow of wash liquid. The water wash system additionally includes a nozzle distribution assembly (56) fluidly connected to the pump, and a plurality of wash lines (58) fluidly connected to the nozzle distribution assembly. Further, a plurality of spray nozzles (74) are included, with each of the plurality spray nozzles attached to a respective wash line and configured for extending at least partially into or through one or more borescope holes (146) of the gas turbine engine for providing a portion of the flow of pressurized wash liquid to the gas turbine engine.
