Abstract:

Embodiments of a glass-ceramic, glass-ceramic article or glass-ceramic window that includes 40 mol %.ltoreq.SiO.sub.2.ltoreq.80 mol %; 1 mol %.ltoreq.Al.sub.2O.sub.3.ltoreq.15 mol %; 3 mol %.ltoreq.B.sub.2O.sub.3.ltoreq.50 mol %; 0 mol %.ltoreq.R.sub.2O.ltoreq.15 mol %; 0 mol %.ltoreq.RO.ltoreq.2 mol %; 0 mol %.ltoreq.P.sub.2O.sub.5.ltoreq.3 mol %; 0 mol %.ltoreq.SnO.sub.2.ltoreq.0.5 mol %; 0.1 mol %.ltoreq.MoO.sub.3.ltoreq.15 mol %; and 0 mol %.ltoreq.WO.sub.3.ltoreq.10 mol % (or 0 mol %<MoO.sub.3.ltoreq.15 mol %; 0.1 mol %.ltoreq.WO.sub.3.ltoreq.10 mol %; and 0.01 mol %.ltoreq.V.sub.2O.sub.5.ltoreq.0.2 mol %), wherein the WO.sub.3 (mol %) plus the MoO.sub.3 (mol %) is from 1 mol % to 19 mol %, and wherein R.sub.2O (mol %) minus the Al.sub.2O.sub.3 (mol %) is from -12 mol % to 4 mol %, are disclosed.
