PARKING ASSISTANCE SYSTEM

Abstract:

A relative velocity vector V is obtained which represents a time-dependent change of a relative position of a power receiving unit to a power transmitting unit set as a reference. Whether a user of a vehicle intends to park the vehicle into a parking space is determined depending on whether a relative velocity vector V(.delta.) after having been corrected in accordance with a steering angle .delta. of the vehicle is oriented toward the parking space. Parking assistance information is displayed on an image display device in accordance with an estimation result that the user of the vehicle intends to park the vehicle into the parking space.
