Abstract:

The present invention relates to clear compositions for and methods of retarding hair loss or facilitating hair growth comprising a hair growth active, a C.sub.8-C.sub.24 alcohol ester of a carboxylic acid and a pharmaceutically acceptable topical carrier comprising monohydric and, optionally, dihydric alcohols and water.
