Abstract:

A liquid crystal display device is disclosed. The device may include an array substrate including a first substrate, which is placed adjacent to a backlight, and a thin film transistor and a touch electrode, which are provided on the first substrate, and an opposite substrate including a second substrate, which faces the first substrate with a liquid crystal layer interposed therebetween, and a static electricity prevention layer, which is deposited on an outer surface of the second substrate. The static electricity prevention layer is formed of a host material containing at least one of In.sub.2O.sub.3 and SnO.sub.2 and a dopant material containing at least one of SiO.sub.2, ZrO.sub.2, HfO.sub.2, Nb.sub.2O.sub.5, and Ta.sub.2O.sub.5 and has sheet resistance of about 10.sup.6.5 .OMEGA./sq to about 10.sup.9 .OMEGA./sq.
