Abstract:

A steel plate, the chemical composition of which includes, the contents being expressed by weight: 0.010%.ltoreq.C.ltoreq.0.20%, 0.06%.ltoreq.Mn.ltoreq.3%, Si.ltoreq.1.5%, 0.005%.ltoreq.Al.ltoreq.1.5%, S.ltoreq.0.030%, P.ltoreq.0.040%, 2.5%.ltoreq.Ti.ltoreq.7.2%, (0.45.times.Ti)-0.35%.ltoreq.B.ltoreq.(0.45.times.Ti)+0.70%, and optionally one or more elements chosen from: Ni.ltoreq.1%, Mo.ltoreq.1%, Cr.ltoreq.31, Nb.ltoreq.0.1%, V.ltoreq.0.1%, the balance of the composition consisting of iron and inevitable impurities resulting from the smelting.
