A COATED STEEL SUBSTRATE

Abstract:

A coated steel substrate including a coating including nanographite having a lateral size between 1 and 60 .mu.m and a binder including sodium silicate or a binder including aluminum sulfate and an additive being alumina, wherein the steel substrate has the following compositions in weight percent: 0.31.ltoreq.C.ltoreq.1.2%, 0.1.ltoreq.Si.ltoreq.1.7%, 0.15.ltoreq.Mn.ltoreq.3.0%, P.ltoreq.0.01%, S.ltoreq.0.1%, Cr.ltoreq.1.0%, Ni.ltoreq.1.0%, Mo.ltoreq.0.1%, and on a purely optional basis, one or more elements such as Nb.ltoreq.0.05%, B.ltoreq.0.003%, Ti.ltoreq.0.06%, Cu.ltoreq.0.1%, Co.ltoreq.0.1%, N.ltoreq.0.01%, V.ltoreq.0.05%, the remainder of the composition being made of iron and inevitable impurities resulting from the elaboration and a method for the manufacture of the coated steel substrate.
