Abstract:

A hot-rolled or cold-rolled steel plate having a composition including, in weight percent: 0.6%.ltoreq.C.ltoreq.0.9%; 17%.ltoreq.Mn.ltoreq.22%; 0.2%.ltoreq.Al.ltoreq.0.9%; 0.2%.ltoreq.Si.ltoreq.1.1%; with 0.85%.ltoreq.Al+Si.ltoreq.1.6%; 1.2%.ltoreq.Cu.ltoreq.1.7%; S.ltoreq.0.030%; P.ltoreq.0.080%; N.ltoreq.0.1%; 0<Nb.ltoreq.0.25%; 0<V.ltoreq.0.5%; 0<Ti.ltoreq.0.5%; 0<Ni.ltoreq.2%; trace amounts .ltoreq.Cr.ltoreq.2% and B.ltoreq.0.010% is provided. A remainder of the composition includes iron and impurities resulting from production of the steel plate. A method for manufacturing a steel plate and use of the steel plate in the automotive industry is also provided.
