Systems and methods for evaluating and sharing autonomous vehicle driving style information with proximate vehicles

Last updated:

Abstract:

Systems and methods for characterizing a driving style of an autonomous vehicle are presented. A system may include one or both of: (i) one or more sensors configured to collect information concerning driving characteristics, and (ii) a user interface configured for receiving feedback from an occupant of the autonomous vehicle concerning the operation of the autonomous vehicle; a memory containing computer-readable instructions for evaluating the driving characteristics and/or occupant feedback for a pattern(s) correlatable with driving style of the autonomous vehicle and for characterizing aspects of driving style based on the one or more patterns; and a processor configured to read the computer-readable instructions from the memory, evaluate the driving characteristics and/or the occupant feedback for one or more patterns correlatable with driving style, and characterize aspects of driving style based on the pattern(s). Corresponding methods and non-transitory media are disclosed.
