Abstract:

Provided are compounds of Formula I: ##STR00001## and pharmaceutically acceptable salts and solvates thereof, wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, and R.sup.6 are as described herein. The compounds of Formula I are agonists of the kappa opioid receptor and relate to and/or have application(s) in (among others) the fields of drug discovery, pharmacotherapy, physiology, organic chemistry and polymer chemistry.
