Abstract:

This application includes a compound of Formula I ##STR00001## or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; wherein the variables R.sup.1a, R.sup.1b, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, X, Y and Z are as defined herein, pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compounds of Formula I and methods of treatment comprising administering to a patient in need thereof a compound of Formula I for the treatment of transthyretin amyloidosis and diseases related thereto.
