Optimized Application Agnostic Object Snapshot System

Abstract:

A system with a processing device, an object engine and an application programming interface receives commands that are supported by the object engine and the application programming interface. The system performs snapshot, bucket and object functions based on buckets or objects that are in a storage-side database, using an internal database, to service the commands. The internal database is distinct from the storage-side database.
