UPLINK INDICATION FOR FULL-DUPLEX OPERATION
Last updated:
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) and a base station may operate in a network that supports full-duplex communications. The UE may receive downlink communication and transmit uplink communication simultaneously and, in some cases, the uplink communication may cause self-interference that may adversely affect the reception of the downlink communication. The UE may receive, from the base station, an indication of the time or frequency resources over which the uplink communication overlaps in time with the downlink communication and may select a decoding technique to use for decoding the downlink transmission based on the indication. The UE may also receive, from the base station, a rate-matching configuration or puncturing information associated with the downlink transmission, which the UE may additionally use in selecting the decoding technique.
