Abstract:

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may receive, from a base station, a message that triggers aperiodic channel state information (CSI) reporting for sidelink communications between the UE and another UE, wherein the message indicates a first set of sidelink CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) resources to be used by the UE for CSI-RS transmission; transmit a first set of CSI-RSs in the first set of sidelink CSI-RS resources; receive an indication of one or more modulation and coding schemes (MCSs) for sidelink communications between the UE and the other UE based at least in part on transmitting the first set of CSI-RSs; and communicate with the other UE using an MCS of the one or more MCSs.
