Techniques for configuring paging cycles

Abstract:

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station (BS) may determine a first type of paging cycle configuration. The BS may determine a second type of paging cycle configuration that is different from the first type of paging cycle configuration, wherein the second type of paging cycle configuration enables a plurality of different paging cycles. The BS may transmit to a user equipment, a paging cycle configuration message, wherein the paging cycle configuration message includes an indication of the second type of paging cycle configuration.
