Dynamic power sharing with or without look-ahead

Abstract:

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive configuration information indicating a master cell group (MCG) maximum power value and a secondary cell group (SCG) maximum power value. The UE may determine whether a combination of the maximum power values satisfies a threshold. The UE may perform a transmission on the SCG using a first transmit power and a transmission on the MCG using a second transmit power, wherein, based on the combination of the MCG maximum power value and the SCG maximum power value satisfying the threshold, the first transmit power is determined based on a time offset, or wherein, based on the combination of the MCG maximum power value and the SCG maximum power value failing to satisfy the threshold, the first transmit power is determined without using the time offset.
