Determining a link association for a device

Abstract:

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a device may measure a set of reference signal receive power (RSRP) metrics for reference signals including one or more reference signals from a base station and one or more reference signals from a controller associated with the device; and determine, based at least in part on the RSRP metrics, a configuration for receiving communications from the controller via a direct communication link with the controller or via the base station.
