Random access procedure modification in internet of things communication
Last updated:
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive configuration information from a base station. The UE may determine, based at least in part on the configuration information, a number of subframes available within a random access response (RAR) time window for downlink control channel communications. The UE may modify a random access procedure based on the determined number of subframes available within the RAR time window for the downlink control channel communications. In one example, modifying the random access procedure may include skipping a decoding attempt using a decoding hypothesis. In another example, modifying the random access procedure may include aborting the random access procedure.
