Modified relaxin B chain peptides and their therapeutic use

Abstract:

Provided is a biologically active single chain Relaxin peptide having the following formula (I): N.sub.ter-X-(E).sub.a-X.sub.10-E-G-R-E-X.sub.15-V-R-X.sub.18-X.sub.19-I-X- .sub.21-X.sub.22-E-G-X.sub.25-S-X.sub.27-X.sub.28-X.sub.29-X.sub.30-R-(X.s- ub.32).sub.b-(X.sub.33).sub.c-(X.sub.34).sub.d-NH.sub.2-C.sub.ter. Also provided is a pharmaceutical composition comprising at least one peptide of the invention, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or a solvate thereof. Further provided is the peptide, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof, or the pharmaceutical composition for use as a medicament.
