[Solving Means] This information processing apparatus includes: a generation unit that generates, on the basis of characteristic information items of a plurality of haptic presentation units having different characteristics, preparation information items to be used by the plurality of haptic presentation units to perform haptic presentation to a user. The plurality of haptic presentation units having different characteristics performs haptic presentation to the user on the basis of the preparation information items generated on the basis of the characteristic information items of the plurality of haptic presentation units, and thus, it is possible to improve the quality of haptic presentation.
