Abstract:

The present invention provides a compound represented by the formula (I): ##STR00001## wherein each symbol is as defined in the specification, or a salt thereof has an EP4 receptor antagonistic action, and is useful as an agent for the prophylaxis or treatment of EP4 receptor associated diseases (e.g., rheumatoid arthritis, aortic aneurysm (e.g. abdominal aortic aneurysm, thoracic aortic aneurysm, thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm etc.), endometriosis, ankylosing spondylitis, inflammatory breast cancer etc.) and the like.
