Abstract:

A kiosk includes a kiosk housing, a barcode reader, a receipt printer, a display unit, and a processor communicatively coupled to the barcode reader, receipt printer, and display unit. The kiosk has a width less than or equal to 63/4 inches and the barcode reader, receipt printer, and processor are within the kiosk housing. The barcode reader has a reader housing, an imaging assembly, a window configured to allow a light to pass between a product scanning region and an interior region of the reader housing, and a set of optical components configured to direct a field-of-view of the imaging assembly through the window.
