Device and Method for Facilitating Setting Autofocus Reference Point in Camera Application User Interface

Abstract:

An electronic device, with a touch-sensitive surface and a display, includes one or more sensors to detect intensity of contacts with the touch-sensitive surface. While displaying a camera preview in a camera application, a contact corresponding to a focus selector at a respective location in the camera preview is detected, and in response, the respective location in the camera preview is set as an autofocus reference point. In response to detecting a first press input that includes an increase in intensity of the contact above a first intensity threshold, the device captures media with the camera application in accordance with the autofocus reference point.
