Differentiating Between Activities of Multiple Users using Shared Accounts to Access a Computing System
Last updated:
Abstract:
Aspects of this application describe a user identification utility that may monitor shared account activity on one or more computing devices. The computing devices may enable user accounts to access shared accounts, which may have different permissions than the user accounts. Based on detecting access to a shared account, the user identification utility may determine an indication of the user account, an indication of the shared account, and, if available, additional data corresponding to the user account. The user identification utility may store an association between the determined information. If the determined information satisfies a rule, the user identification utility may trigger an alert.
